Decorating Your Small Space for the Holidays

The holiday season is upon us and with it comes the opportunity to turn your living quarters into a winter wonderland! If you are living in a dorm, small apartment, or just want to spruce up your bedroom at home, this post contains some easy holiday decor ideas for your small living space.

1. Holiday Throw Pillows & Blankets

Adding a festive pillow or throw blanket is a quick, simple, and affordable way to get your room ready for the holidays. (Blanket is from Pier 1 Imports, pillow is from HomeGoods)

2. Wrapping Paper

Taping up some sheets of wrapping paper is another inexpensive way to decorate for the holidays, not to mention a great method for hiding unattractive dorm room walls.

3. Festive Lights

Twinkle lights, christmas lights, snowball lights, etc. These are the perfect decor for a small space. Lights are a great way to make a room feel intimate and warm for the holiday season (and every other season for that matter). Hint: have any extra ornaments lying around? Hang them up with your lights to increase the festivity of your room!

4. Decorate Your Desk

It's important to decorate and personalize the few items you have in your small space. Decorating your desk area is a great way to accomplish this. Wrapping paper, mini trees, holiday lights, festive mugs, you name it! Your desk area is your chance to be as creative as possible and let your inner self shine. I hope these ideas give some inspiration to you this holiday season! Small spaces may not be spacious, but with a few decorations you can make your space feel like home for the holidays.
